A website, 3D editor, and VR environment had to communicate in real time. The connection was unstable and the first technical combination did not provide a reliable product foundation.
The approach
For the school version, I focused on VR, Three.js, and communication through WebSockets. Lessons from that prototype informed a new product direction: self-contained, using hand tracking and physics instead of controllers and fixed animations.
The outcome
The proof of concept made both the kitchen and the architectural limitations tangible. Starting again became a deliberate product decision rather than continuing to extend an unstable foundation.
