It started with a hexagon that refused to add up.

The pattern contained a hexagon, alternating triangles, and a repeating grid. Using commands and loops, the image came together step by step. Getting stuck was part of it; working out exactly where it went wrong was what made it interesting. That way of working never really disappeared.

During my HBO-ICT studies, unfamiliar technology gradually stopped being a blocker. If I was prepared to investigate, I could solve my own problems. That belief was tested when a classmate introduced me to a startup. I did not yet know everything its existing production code demanded, and said so plainly, but I was willing to work it out.

Around that first contract, I founded LBXworks in October 2025. Not long afterwards, an organisation from a school project asked whether I could independently develop the prototype further. Since then, I have worked both from an initial question and on things that already exist. The starting point changes, but the core remains the same: understand what is needed and turn it into a useful product.

Away from the screen, I seek out much the same thing in board games and Magic: The Gathering. Sometimes the theoretically optimal move is less interesting than the unexpected route that works in this specific situation. And if there is time left, a 3D printer is probably running. Probably.
